Earthquakes continue to cause destructions around the world and also in the European-Mediterranean region. Only in the last ten years, severe damage and casualties were produced in Turkey and Greece (1999), Algeria (2003) and Italy (2009).
The core objective of MATRIX project is to develop methods and tools to tackle multiple natural hazards in a common framework. This will allow future analysts to optimise the risk assessment process, will contribute to rationalising data management for hazards and vulnerability reduction.
The aim of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the concept of Enhanced Geothermal Systems by addressing the need to investigate the role of induced seismicity.
