Postdoctoral Fellowship

A postdoctoral fellow position is available at the Seismology Laboratory RISSC.

The position is covered by research funds allocated to AMRA scarl (www.amracenter.com) and it is open to join the laboratory in the European project “MED-SUV MEDiterranean Supersite Volcanoes" (see also RICEN Experiment).

The applicants will be asked to

  • Develop and apply innovative tools for a refined seismic imaging of the volcanic structure, which uses the whole waveform amplitude information retrievable on seismic data (arrival times and amplitudes of primary and reflected/ converted phases);
  • Process and analyze seismic reflection data acquired in unconventional layout geometries, global offset ranges and heterogeneous structure environment;
  • Reconstruct reflector morphology from modeling/migration of reflected/converted phases for global offset data.

The appointment will be for two years, and the annual gross salary is around 28.800,00€ (including taxes). The position is available to start immediately – applications will be reviewed as they are received and continue until the positions are filled.
