First training course for secondary school teachers at Department of Psysics, University of Naples Federico II

RISSCLab along with scientists and education experts from Italy, France, Switzerland and the UK have organized an in-service training workshop aimed at secondary school teachers of sciences or geosciences who are interested in finding out how to use seismology in their own classrooms as a "hook" to get students interested in a wide range of  science topics and as a socially relevant context for seeing how the Work of scientists impacts everyday lives.

The workshop will run over five days in Naples, Italy and will include lectures, practical sessions and field visits to local volcanoes.

PARTICIPATION COST
Course Fee: 750€
No pre-registration fee
Payment is due 2 months before the course starts
(For participants requesting Comenius grant no payment is due until funding has been approved)
 
GRANTS
Teachers (teacher trainers, principals/managers of schools) attending the course from the EU or Associated States would expect to obtain full funding for all travel, accommodation, food, and course costs from the EU Comenius funding Programme.
Teachers have to apply for Comenius funding directly to their National Agency
The deadline for funding application will be 16th January 2012

HOW TO APPLY

To apply for a place in the training course, please fill in the Registration Form - then a formal Invitation letter will be sent by the organizing committee. The participation will be guaranteed only after the payment will be made.
